The Pura Lounge Chair was designed by RISD Industrial Design professor Seth Stem and developed by Maria Yee. The chair features a molded LUX seat and back over a wood frame and was the very first LUX furniture piece to be manufactured. The corrugated design provides extraordinary strength to the sustainable material, while the curve profile makes for a beautiful and most comfortable sitting experience.

LUX is a sustainable, high-performance material made of fast-growing plant fibers with unique design capabilities that foster flexibility and strength. Heat, scratch and mold resistant, LUX is natural to the touch and dense with texture. It features a rich, organic coloration. LUX is far more sustainable than existing wood materials.  LUX has no added formaldehyde.
